40 x 40 x 1.5 inches original oil stag painting of a large semi abstract landscape. A red deer stag stands watching us from the forest where beams of light filter through the trees and light up the gaps between the trees. He is dark but slightly luminous. The style is lyrical and slightly art nouveau. It is painted in autumn colours and hints of a lake and mist through trees. The stag is ready to take us somewhere beautiful. It was inspired by the fabian nature of deer who are the true unicorns of our English woodland. Painted on deep edge canvas - edges white, no frame needed.
