Untilted #1 is a painting that is part of "The Horizons Flee To The East" series, a short capsule. It condenses the particular energy brought back from a trip to Ukraine in the summer of 2011, on the outskirts of Chernobyl, in contact with a paradoxical nature and liberated from a certain hold. These are also the last paintings made in the small Paris apartment before leaving for Brittany. They incorporate different experiments: one is on wood, the other contains pieces of PVC, others are completed by phosphorescent paint.
